Policies & Standards
How Raising.fi approaches accuracy, sourcing, and conflicts
This page describes how we collect funding information, how we correct mistakes, and how we handle any potential conflicts of interest. It is intended to give readers and partners a clear view into our standards and who is accountable for them. Editorial oversight for Raising.fi is managed by the founding team, and all standards and corrections policies are maintained by the publisher. For more on the team behind Raising.fi, see the About page.
Accuracy & corrections
Raising.fi is built around factual information about funding rounds, companies, and investors. We aim to publish accurate data on amounts, dates, participants, and other key details.
When we identify an error, or when a company, investor, or reader brings one to our attention, we correct it as quickly as practical. Where meaningful changes are made, we aim to reflect that a correction or clarification has occurred in the product experience.
Funding records and related views may also be updated as new information becomes available. When a change is significant, the relevant page or view may include an updated timestamp or editorial note so that readers can see that additional context has been added.
If you believe any detail in our data is incomplete or incorrect, please contact us via the contact page with as much supporting information as possible.
Sourcing standards
Our funding information is drawn from a combination of public announcements, regulatory filings, company websites, reputable news organizations, investor communications, and other verifiable sources.
Where multiple sources conflict, we favor primary disclosures and direct confirmations from companies and investors. In cases where information cannot be reliably confirmed, we do not publish it until we can reach a level of accuracy that we are comfortable standing behind.
We continually review our sourcing criteria to prioritize accuracy over completeness, and we welcome feedback from the ecosystem on how we can improve.
Methodology for structured data
Raising.fi presents funding information in a structured format so that users can filter, search, and analyze activity across companies and investors. Under the hood, this means normalizing how we represent entities, dates, round types, and participants.
When we ingest information, we map company and investor names to a consistent internal profile, standardize round descriptors where appropriate, and deduplicate overlapping announcements that refer to the same transaction. This helps keep the dataset coherent without changing the underlying facts.
As our coverage expands, we may publish additional notes about methodology for specific features or views that rely on more advanced modeling or aggregation.
Independence & conflicts of interest
Raising.fi may at times have commercial relationships with companies, funds, or other organizations that also appear in our dataset. These relationships do not change how we collect, structure, or present core funding information.
When we publish editorial commentary or analysis that could be influenced by a material relationship, such as ownership, advisory roles, or other financial interests, we will disclose that connection clearly in the relevant context.
As of 2026-03-18, Raising.fi does not hold equity stakes in companies featured in the dataset. If this changes in the future, we will update this page and maintain clear disclosure of any such relationships.
Our goal is to keep the underlying data product impartial and consistent, regardless of any commercial activity around it.
Sponsored content & advertising
We do not currently offer sponsored content or paid placements inside the core dataset that represents funding rounds and companies.
If we introduce sponsorships or advertising in the future, they will be clearly labeled and visually separated from our core funding information so that users can easily distinguish paid material from independent data.
User data & privacy
Raising.fi collects certain usage data to operate and improve the product. Where applicable, we handle that data in line with industry norms for SaaS analytics and security.
For details on how we collect, store, and use data, please see our Privacy Policy.
