ZutaCore Raises $100 Million in Series C Funding
ZutaCore, an Israeli company specializing in innovative cooling solutions for data centers, has secured $100 million in a Series C funding round. The round was backed by investors including Mitsubishi Electric Corp., Carrier Ventures, and Samsung Venture Investment Corp. The company, led by Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO Erez Freibach, focuses on waterless direct-to-chip, two-phase liquid cooling technology designed to handle the increasing heat output of modern processors.
Innovative Cooling Technology
ZutaCore's technology addresses the growing challenge of cooling AI and high-performance computing processors, which can draw more than 4,000 watts. Their system uses a dielectric fluid that boils directly at the chip, efficiently moving heat away without the need for water. This method not only reduces energy costs but also eliminates the water usage associated with traditional evaporative cooling systems. The core platform, known as HyperCool, integrates seamlessly with existing data center infrastructures, making it an attractive option for operators seeking to retrofit their facilities without significant overhauls.
