Zinara Secures Pre-Seed Funding
Zinara, a startup specializing in lab-grown diamond jewellery, has successfully raised $411.54K (Rs 3.61 Cr) in a pre-seed funding round. The round was led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) with participation from Nine Jewellery and actor Nikita Dutta. The company, headquartered in Delhi NCR, aims to make diamond jewellery more accessible for everyday wear.
Founders and Vision
Zinara was co-founded by Harshit Abrol and Sumanyu Vyas, both alumni of IIT Delhi. The company focuses on providing contemporary jewellery designs made with lab-grown diamonds and 18K gold vermeil. CEO Harshit Abrol highlighted the company's mission to make diamond jewellery suitable for daily use, not just special occasions.
Use of Funds
The capital raised will be directed towards expanding the team, increasing marketing activities, and strengthening supply-chain infrastructure. These steps are intended to support the company's growth ambitions across India.
Business Model and Offerings
Operating through a digital-first business model, Zinara serves customers nationwide. The company offers more than 400 jewellery designs and claims to have surpassed Rs 1 crore in annual recurring revenue. Zinara provides lifetime buyback and exchange options, as well as free replating services for its jewellery.
Market and Technology
Lab-grown diamonds, which are produced using technological processes such as high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) and chemical vapor deposition (CVD), form the core of Zinara's product offerings. The startup aims to capitalize on the increasing consumer interest in contemporary and more affordable jewellery options.
