Zerolook Secures Pre-Seed Funding
Zerolook, a technology startup based in Zug, Switzerland, has raised €1.6 million in a pre-seed funding round. The round was led by the London-based venture capital firm Playfair, with participation from Vento Ventures, TrueSight Ventures, and Alpha Venture.
Innovating Flight Search Technology
Zerolook offers a business-to-business flight shopping API designed to handle the massive search volumes generated by AI-driven travel queries. Instead of fetching live prices, Zerolook employs a machine learning model to predict prices, significantly reducing the cost per query.
Leadership and Vision
The company was founded by George Hadjiyiannis, who serves as the Chief Technology Officer, and Simone Lini, the Chief Executive Officer. Simone Lini highlighted the inefficiencies in the current flight search market, stating: "Airlines and travel agencies only get paid when someone books, but their technology providers charge them to answer searches and can penalise excessive search volumes. Zerolook is changing that."
Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds will be utilized to further develop Zerolook's technology and expand its market reach. The investment will help the company enhance its product offerings and scale its operations to meet the growing demands of the travel industry.
Zerolook aims to provide travel businesses with more cost-effective and efficient solutions for flight searches, ultimately transforming how these companies operate in a data-intensive environment.
