Wultra Secures €6.8 Million in Series A Funding
Wultra, a provider of post-quantum digital identity solutions for banks and fintech companies, has successfully raised €6.8 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Seventure Partners, with additional participation from Marc Norlain, Guillaume Despagne, J&T Ventures, and Elevator Ventures. The company, founded by CEO Peter Dvorak, aims to enhance security and simplify the transition to future digital identity standards.
Company Overview
Founded in 2014, Wultra specializes in developing solutions that help financial institutions transition to passwordless and phishing-resistant authentication systems. The company's platform is designed to comply with upcoming regulations such as PSD3/PSR and eIDAS 2.0, making it a critical tool for banks and fintech companies preparing for a post-quantum future. In 2025, Wultra expanded its offerings to include a broader range of digital identity lifecycle solutions such as onboarding, identity proofing, transaction authorization, and electronic signatures.
Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds will be directed towards international expansion and platform scaling. Wultra has plans to enter the Middle East and U.S. markets, focusing on attracting large strategic customers. "The investment will support our continued international expansion and strengthen our focus on large strategic clients," said Peter Dvorak, founder and CEO of Wultra.
In addition to geographical expansion, the funding will also be used to enhance Wultra's digital identity wallet capabilities and support the rollout of the European Digital Identity Wallet ecosystem.
Global Reach and Growth
Wultra has already established a significant presence, serving over 70 clients across 25 countries. The company recently opened an office in Singapore and increased its workforce by nearly 50% to support its growing operations. This funding round marks a significant milestone in Wultra's journey to becoming a global leader in digital identity solutions, particularly as financial institutions increasingly focus on adopting post-quantum cryptography standards.
Looking Ahead
With the financial backing from this Series A round, Wultra is well-positioned to continue its growth trajectory. The company's focus on enhancing its platform and expanding its market reach aligns with the increasing demand for secure and compliant digital identity solutions in the financial sector.
