Bengaluru-Based Home-Furnishing Startup Raises Funds
wudhomes, a startup focused on revolutionizing the home-furnishing experience, has successfully raised $263,000 in a pre-seed funding round. The funding was led by AJVC, with participation from investors including Rohit Choudhary, Keertay Agarwal, and Yash Banwani.
Founded by Aditya Singh and Vasu Arneja, the Bengaluru-based company aims to streamline the home-furnishing process through an integrated approach that covers product discovery, personalization, purchasing, and delivery.
What Wudhomes Offers
Wudhomes is working to simplify the home-furnishing journey for customers by combining digital and physical experiences. The company offers a model that integrates digital product discovery with personalized furniture recommendations and spatial visualization. This is complemented by physical retail stores, home visits, and a vertically integrated supply chain.
Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds will be directed towards developing a vertically integrated supply chain and building in-house technology. Additionally, Wudhomes plans to enhance its retail operations and expand its home-furnishing services. The startup has already furnished over 200 homes in recent months and has opened a retail outlet on Sarjapur Road in Bengaluru. They have also launched a home-visit service where consultants assess customers' spaces and provide tailored furnishing recommendations.
Foundersβ Vision
Aditya Singh and Vasu Arneja, the co-founders of Wudhomes, are keen to build a substantial business around home furnishing that transcends traditional retail limitations. "We believe there is an opportunity to build a much larger business around home furnishing than traditional retail has allowed for," said one of the co-founders.
