Hyderabad's Workroom Automation Raises $706.80K in Seed Funding

Workroom Automation, a tech startup based in Hyderabad, India, has successfully raised $706.80K (Rs 6.2 crore) in a seed funding round. The round was led by Equirus InnovateX Fund, with participation from Astir Ventures, Venture Catalysts Group, and a group of angel investors, including Bhavik Dholakia, Vishal Shah, Dr. Varun Patel, Dr. Viraj Lavingia, and Bhavin Sodavadiya.

Led by Founder Abhinav Atthota and Co-Founder Rohan Agarwal, Workroom Automation is developing a platform that allows manufacturers to intelligently plan and execute factory operations on a single, connected platform. The company aims to tackle the complexities of fragmented manufacturing systems by creating a central intelligence layer that integrates various factory processes, such as ERP, MES, and shopfloor workflows.

The funding round was primarily led by Equirus InnovateX Fund, a venture capital firm known for investing in innovative startups. Additional investors include Astir Ventures and Venture Catalysts Group, alongside individual investors Bhavik Dholakia, Vishal Shah, Dr. Varun Patel, Dr. Viraj Lavingia, and Bhavin Sodavadiya.

Strategic Use of Funds

The newly acquired funds will be directed towards accelerating product development and strengthening Workroom Automation's core platform. The company plans to enhance its proprietary Workroom AI Planning Engine, expand automation capabilities, and integrate more deeply with ERP, MES, and shopfloor systems. Additionally, the startup will focus on scaling its go-to-market efforts to better serve medium and large manufacturing enterprises globally, particularly in industries such as automotive, electronics, aerospace, and industrial machinery.

Founders and Vision

Abhinav Atthota and Rohan Agarwal founded Workroom Automation in 2022. Atthota commented, "Our goal is to simplify and unify manufacturing operations by providing a single platform that optimizes efficiency and productivity."
