Vectrix Secures €1.15 Million in Seed Funding
Vectrix, an AI-driven logistics startup based in Antwerp, Belgium, has successfully raised €1.15 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by RDY Ventures, with additional participation from Seeder Fund, PMV, and Prequel Ventures. Founded by Ben Selleslagh and Dimitri Allaert, Vectrix aims to streamline the logistics industry by automating the process of transport order entry.
Streamlining Logistics with AI
Vectrix's platform is designed to automate the manual entry of transport orders into Transport Management Systems (TMS). By extracting data from emails, PDFs, and Excel files, the platform can process transport requests for freight forwarders, 3PLs, and transport companies in under 50 seconds. This automation reduces the time spent on order processing from approximately eight minutes to just two minutes, while also minimizing human error.
Expansion Plans
With the newly secured funding, Vectrix plans to expand its operations across Europe, beginning with neighboring countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK. The company also intends to double its team size in 2026, enhancing its capacity to deliver innovative solutions to the logistics sector.
Enhancing Product Capabilities
The funds will be used to further develop Vectrix's product capabilities. This includes building deeper integrations with existing Transport Management Systems and introducing features aimed at automating communication around logistics orders. The platform's AI continuously learns from historical data, improving accuracy and providing contextual recommendations for logistics operations.
Industry Impact
The logistics sector has long faced challenges with manual data entry, often resulting in inefficiencies and errors. Vectrix addresses these issues by positioning its platform as a "pre-TMS" layer, capable of extracting and structuring data before it enters the TMS.
Ben Selleslagh, Co-Founder of Vectrix, noted the impact of their technology: “The logistics sector has faced a shortage of administrative staff for repetitive tasks for years. It’s not uncommon for values to be entered incorrectly, causing products to arrive in poor condition.”
Looking Ahead
As Vectrix continues to grow, its focus remains on enhancing workflow efficiency and data accuracy for logistics companies. With their AI-powered platform, the company is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of the logistics industry, providing faster and more reliable solutions for transport order processing.
