"We’re using the plant's natural immune system or defense response and adding this control layer to fine-tune its performance," explained George Greene, CEO of Upstream Biotechnology.

The newly acquired funds will be utilized to advance the development of the SwitchBlade platform further. Upstream plans to expand validation of its technology across a broader range of crops, strengthen its intellectual property portfolio, and support collaborations with partners in the seed industry.
