TYBR Health, a Houston-based company specializing in post-surgical recovery technologies, has secured $30 million in a Series A funding round. The financing was led by Vensana Capital and Mutual Capital Partners, with participation from Neovate Capital Partners.

TYBR Health is known for its innovative B3 GELโ„ข, a flowable bio-gel barrier designed to prevent tissue tethering after surgeries. This product aims to bridge the gap between surgical repair and functional recovery, particularly in orthopedic procedures.

Company Leadership

The company was co-founded by Alex Smith, who serves as Chief Technology Officer, and Tim Keane, the CEO. Keane has emphasized the importance of this funding round in advancing their mission, stating: "This investment allows us to expand our reach and continue to innovate in the field of surgical recovery."

Strategic Use of Funds

The newly raised capital will be used to expand the commercial access of the B3 GEL System to more surgeons and healthcare facilities. TYBR Health plans to conduct additional clinical studies to evaluate the system's efficacy in tissue protection post-orthopedic surgery.

The company will also explore additional product indications for its extracellular matrix platform. This may involve further research and regulatory processes to extend the product's use into new areas.

Board Expansion

With this investment, TYBR Health's Board of Directors will see the addition of Vensana Capital Partner Greg Banker and Mutual Capital Partners Principal Liz Todia Zambory, joining independent director Aaron Smith.

TYBR Health's B3 GEL System is already FDA-cleared and has been utilized in various procedures, including those involving the hand, wrist, shoulder, foot, ankle, and sports medicine. The company aims to generate more clinical evidence to support the system's potential benefits in improving healing conditions.
