Trinity Robotics Raises $500,000 in Seed Funding
Trinity Robotics, a Ukrainian company specializing in the manufacturing, servicing, and sales of robots for dangerous tasks, has successfully raised $500,000 in a seed funding round. The funding was spearheaded by Defence Builder Fund I, with additional support from investors Front Ventures and Hede Capital.
Company Overview
Trinity Robotics is recognized for its development of unmanned ground vehicles, notably the Konyk ONE platform. This system is capable of transporting up to 300 kg of cargo over a distance of 45 km on a single charge. The Konyk ONE is designed for various military applications, including logistics, casualty evacuation, and mine-clearing operations. It features modular configurations that support autonomous navigation and satellite communications.
Current Deployment and Future Plans
The Konyk ONE platform is already in use by over 20 Ukrainian military units across different frontline sectors. With the new funding, Trinity Robotics plans to expand its manufacturing capabilities. The company aims to increase its production output from the current capacity of up to 70 systems per month to more than 150 systems.
Investor Insights
Daria Yaniieva, President of Defence Builder Fund I, commented on the investment, stating, "Ground robotics is the fastest-growing segment of Ukraine's defence tech, and logistics and evacuation is where the demand is already proven. Trinity has done the hard part โ building a system soldiers use every day across the line of contact."
Strategic Use of Funds
The additional capital will primarily be used to scale up the production of the Konyk ONE systems. This expansion is crucial to meet the growing demand for these unmanned vehicles in military operations, particularly in logistics and evacuation roles.
Trinity Robotics continues to position itself as a key player in the defence technology sector, leveraging its expertise in robotics to address the needs of military operations. The successful seed funding round marks a significant step in the company's growth trajectory, enabling it to enhance its production capabilities and broaden its impact in the field.
