The Func. Lab Secures Seed Funding

The Func. Lab, a startup specializing in clean-label nutrition products, has successfully raised $1.5 million in a seed funding round. The funding was led by a group of investors including Nisaba Godrej, Anand Piramal, Abhishek Nayar, Bhakti Modi, Harsh Parekh, and Sahil Vora. Founded in 2025 by Sohrab Khushrushahi, Sahil Kukreja, and Daneesh Davar, the company offers a range of products such as whey protein, plant protein, electrolytes, creatine, and glutamine. These products are formulated without fillers and promise fast delivery across India.

Expanding Product Reach and Distribution

The newly acquired capital will be directed towards expanding The Func. Lab's product portfolio and enhancing its distribution and supply chain capabilities. The company aims to scale its presence across digital, quick-commerce, and offline retail channels. Co-founder Sohrab Khushrushahi emphasized the importance of product integrity, stating, "We've always believed that nutrition products should be judged by what's inside the pack, not by marketing claims."

Product Development and Market Expansion

Since its launch in July 2025, The Func. Lab has been actively expanding its market reach. The startup plans to focus on its hydration segment, extending its electrolyte and recovery product range. The company is also keen on making its products more accessible across various locations in India, catering to the growing demand for clean-label nutrition solutions.

Commitment to Quality

The Func. Lab is committed to maintaining high standards in product quality. Its offerings, including protein powders and electrolytes, undergo third-party lab testing to ensure nutritional accuracy and the absence of heavy metals and contaminants. The company prides itself on transparent labeling, with products free from gums, emulsifiers, or artificial sweeteners.

This funding round marks a significant step for The Func. Lab as it continues to build a brand centered on trust, transparency, and effectiveness in the nutrition space.
