Tangos Ai Secures $20M Seed Funding
Tangos Ai, a startup specializing in AI-driven financial crime investigations, has announced the completion of a $20 million seed funding round. The round was led by Red Dot Capital Partners, with participation from Leaders Fund, Clarim, Venture Israel, Signal Fire, Clutch Capital, Selah Ventures, and Bright Data Inc.
Transforming Financial Crime Investigations
Tangos Ai aims to address the growing challenge of financial crime, which generates over $1.5 trillion in illicit proceeds annually. The company offers an Autonomous Investigation Engine capable of closing financial crime investigations swiftly while providing examiner-defensible, source-traced evidence. This technology is particularly beneficial for financial institutions, government agencies, and intelligence organizations, which are currently overwhelmed by regulatory demands and a global shortage of experienced investigators.
Leadership and Expertise
The startup was founded by Eyal Azoulay, who also serves as CEO, alongside Co-Founder and CTO Eddie Aronovich. Azoulay has a background as a serial entrepreneur, and together with Aronovich, they lead a team with extensive experience in financial crime, sanctions enforcement, and intelligence investigations. The company's leadership includes former officials from the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control and Israel's national security community, as well as AI infrastructure experts.
Strategic Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds are expected to be used for scaling the company's operations and enhancing its technological capabilities. While specific plans have not been disclosed, the investment will likely support the expansion of their AI platform to handle the increasing volumes of financial crime investigations more efficiently.
Investor Confidence
The participation of prominent investors such as Leaders Fund, Clarim, and Bright Data Inc. highlights the confidence in Tangos Ai's potential to revolutionize financial crime investigations. By leveraging advanced AI technologies, Tangos Ai is well-positioned to assist organizations in prioritizing and resolving complex cases that traditional methods struggle to address.
This investment marks a significant step for Tangos Ai as it continues to develop its platform and expand its reach in the financial crime investigation sector.
