Surveily Secures Series A Funding
Surveily, a Poland-based startup specializing in AI-driven video analytics for workplace safety, has successfully raised €2.5 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Industrial Impact® VC Momenta, with participation from Look AI Ventures. The company, headquartered in Wrocław, Poland, plans to use the funds to expand its product capabilities and explore international markets, including the United States.
Transforming Industrial Safety
Surveily's platform leverages artificial intelligence to enhance workplace safety by integrating with existing camera systems. The technology allows for real-time detection of hazards, automates compliance monitoring, and provides actionable insights. This approach turns traditional CCTV systems, which typically act as passive observers, into active safety systems that can intervene before incidents occur.
According to Wojciech Tubek, CEO of Surveily, "Our mission is to embed intelligence directly into industrial safety systems. By applying edge AI to existing infrastructure, we enable EHS teams to detect risks in real time and fundamentally improve safety operation plans."
Strategic Use of Funds
The newly secured funding will be directed towards further developing Surveily's product offerings and accelerating its market expansion. The company aims to establish a presence in international markets, with the United States as a primary target.
Edge AI in Industrial Environments
Surveily's platform operates locally, analyzing video data in real time without relying on cloud services. This local-first approach is crucial in environments where data sensitivity and the immediacy of response are paramount. The system is compatible with over 98% of existing camera systems and can function fully on premises, even when offline.
Early deployments of Surveily's technology have shown promising results, such as an eightfold increase in near-miss reporting within chemical facilities. This indicates a growing adoption of their proactive safety model across various industrial sectors, including chemicals, metals, logistics, and energy.
By transforming conventional surveillance systems into intelligent safety platforms, Surveily is poised to make significant strides in industrial safety, offering companies a means to move from reactive measures to proactive prevention.
