Speedioo, a platform that simplifies the process of selling bikes online with fast, secure, and hassle-free options, has successfully raised $1.14 million (Rs 10 crore) in a seed funding round. The funding was led by Atomic Capital, a notable investment firm.
Founders and Leadership
The company was co-founded by Sagar Potphode, who serves as the CEO, and Ajit Deshmukh, the COO. The leadership team is focused on transforming the experience of selling used two-wheelers in India by integrating advanced technology and expanding their reach.
Strategic Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds will be instrumental in several strategic initiatives for Speedioo:
-
Technology Development: Speedioo plans to invest in building an AI-native technology stack. This will enhance the platform's capabilities in areas such as procurement, pricing, refurbishment, and customer experience.
-
Geographic Expansion: The company aims to expand its distribution network into major Indian cities, focusing on growing its retail footprint through a scalable franchise model.
-
Partnerships and Network Growth: Speedioo seeks to deepen its partnerships with OEMs and scale its dealer partner and retail network, positioning itself as a key player in the two-wheeler market.
-
Infrastructure and Leadership: Part of the funds will be used to strengthen the companyβs supply and operational infrastructure, as well as to expand its senior leadership team.
Future Plans
Speedioo is focused on creating an integrated omnichannel platform that makes used two-wheeler ownership more accessible and reliable for Indian consumers. By leveraging AI capabilities, the company aims to enhance core processes such as procurement, price discovery, vehicle assessment, and selling price.
In a statement, CEO Sagar Potphode emphasized the broader vision of the company: "At Speedioo, we are building much more than a used two-wheeler company. We are building a trusted and sustainable consumer brand for the next billion Indians aspiring to own personal mobility."
The seed funding marks a significant step for Speedioo as it continues to innovate and expand its services in the competitive Indian market.
