So/Facet Raises $1.14 Million in Seed Funding

So/Facet, a startup specializing in lab-grown diamond jewelry, has successfully raised $1.14 million (Rs 10 crore) in a seed funding round. The round was led by Sauce, marking its first investment in the lab-grown diamond sector. Additional participants included Mokobara, the Chona family office, Haleon India Subcontinent, and Moonshot.

Founders and Background

Founded by Aarushi Naulakha and Abhishek Naulakha, So/Facet aims to redefine diamond jewelry as a form of personal expression rather than a traditional occasion-specific accessory. The company plans to launch its online platform in November 2026 and expand into physical retail with over 30 premium stores across India within the next three years.

Strategic Use of Funds

The funds raised will be allocated towards brand development, product design, technology advancements, recruitment, and expansion across both online and offline retail channels. So/Facet is planning to introduce six collections featuring in-house designs and International Gemological Institute (IGI)-certified lab-grown diamonds. Notable collections include the So/Me collection, which features star and butterfly shapes, and So/Pop, which combines diamonds with colorful enamel charms.

Retail and Product Expansion

So/Facet is working on a retail model that integrates its digital platform with physical stores, allowing customers to explore, purchase, and upgrade their jewelry. This approach aims to enhance the shopping experience, making diamond jewelry more accessible and versatile for everyday wear.
