About Smooth
Founded in May 2025, Smooth provides a platform that transforms traditional parking lots into smart, unmanned facilities. The system uses automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) and IoT devices to facilitate entry, exit, and payment processes without the need for physical gates or payment machines. This technology allows parking lot owners to automate and manage parking operations seamlessly.
Leadership Insight
Fusanosuke Izumi, the Founder and CEO of Smooth, has been instrumental in guiding the company’s innovative approach to parking solutions. Under his leadership, Smooth has introduced Japan's first fully automated parking payment system, currently operational at a coin parking lot in Itabashi, Tokyo.
Strategic Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds will be directed towards enhancing sales promotion activities and developing additional features for the platform. Smooth aims to increase adoption through improved implementation support and a campaign that waives initial setup costs for new clients. Moreover, the company plans to extend its platform's capabilities to other mobility sectors, including electric vehicle charging stations, autonomous vehicle hubs, and toll gates.
Future Expansion Plans
Smooth's commitment to innovation in mobility solutions positions it well for future growth. By incorporating additional mobility touchpoints, the company seeks to broaden its impact and offer comprehensive solutions in the evolving landscape of smart transportation.
This funding marks a significant step in Smooth's journey to revolutionize parking management and expand its reach in the mobility sector.
