Sherlocks AI Raises Pre-Seed Funding
Sherlocks AI, an AI-driven incident management platform, has secured $855,000 (approximately Rs 7.5 crore) in a pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by SenseAI Ventures, with participation from Uppekha. The funding, announced on June 24, 2026, aims to bolster the company's product development and expand its presence in the North American market.
What Sherlocks AI Does
Founded in 2025 by Gaurav Toshniwal and Akshat Sandhaliya, Sherlocks AI offers a platform that significantly reduces mean time to resolution (MTTR) by utilizing AI Site Reliability Engineers (SREs). These AI SREs work around the clock to investigate incidents, automate root cause analysis, and prevent outages before they occur. This innovation is particularly beneficial for engineering teams managing modern, cloud-native infrastructure, allowing them to focus more on building rather than on manual troubleshooting.
Leadership Insights
Gaurav Toshniwal, the founder of Sherlocks AI, explained the platform's value proposition, stating: "AI has transformed how code gets written and shipped, but when things break in production, diagnosis is still manual and fragmented. We built Sherlocks AI to close that gap, so engineering teams spend less time firefighting and more time building." Akshat Sandhaliya, co-founder, added: "We architected Sherlocks AI as a true agentic system: specialized agents that reason over a live model of your environment and converge on root cause without waiting for a human to kick off the investigation."
Use of Funds
The newly raised capital will be utilized to strengthen Sherlocks AI's product and scale its go-to-market strategies, particularly in North America. The demand for advanced AI SRE and IT operations solutions is growing in this region, and the company aims to meet this demand by enhancing its platform's capabilities and expanding its customer base.
Future Prospects
Sherlocks AI currently serves mid-market and enterprise technology companies operating cloud-native or hybrid infrastructures. With this fresh injection of funds, the company is well-positioned to advance its mission of transforming incident management in the tech industry.
