SetSale, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based company that simplifies the HVAC sales process with AI-driven tools, has successfully raised $2 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by York IE, with additional participation from Palmetto and Finturf. This investment marks a significant step for SetSale as it seeks to modernize the traditionally manual and fragmented HVAC sales industry.
Transforming HVAC Sales with AI
Founded by Assaf Weinberg, who also serves as CEO, SetSale aims to eliminate the complexity of traditional pricing spreadsheets and AHRI matchups. The company provides an AI-native platform designed to create dynamic, multi-option quotes. These quotes are tailored to maximize profitability, increase ticket sizes, and improve win rates for contractors in the residential HVAC sector.
SetSale's platform streamlines the sales process by integrating real-time pricing, inventory, rebates, and financing into the proposal workflow. This integration helps contractors, distributors, and homeowners connect more effectively, ultimately improving close rates and enhancing visibility across the supply chain.
Strategic Use of Funds
The newly acquired capital will be directed towards expanding vendor partnerships and enhancing the platform's capabilities. Specifically, SetSale plans to deepen ERP integrations that support its Distributor Connect feature. The company will also advance its AI-driven pricing and margin optimization tools. Additionally, SetSale aims to grow its network of contractors and distributors while adding enhanced analytics and compliance features.
Governance and Leadership
As part of the investment, Matt Shapiro from York IE will join SetSale’s board of directors. Shapiro commented on the investment, "We believe the next great vertical software companies won't just digitize workflows—they'll own the data layer that connects an entire supply chain."
