Scooby’s Club Gains Financial Backing to Expand Premium Dog Care Network

Scooby’s Club, a Bengaluru-based petcare startup, has successfully raised $250,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by TDV Partners. The company specializes in providing premium dog daycare, hotel, and spa services, offering a cage-free environment with 24/7 live CCTV access for pet owners. Founded by Animeha Singh and Ankit Gupta, the company aims to offer an enriched experience for dogs, guided by canine behavioral principles.

Expansion Plans

The newly acquired funds will enable Scooby’s Club to expand its operations by opening two additional properties in Bengaluru over the next 6 to 12 months. This expansion is part of a broader strategy to establish a network of 100 dog care facilities across major Indian cities. The company plans to hire and train additional canine coaches to ensure a high-quality experience for pets and their owners.

Innovative Dog Care Approach

Scooby’s Club is unique in its approach, offering indoor, climate-controlled spaces designed to provide mental enrichment for dogs. Each dog undergoes temperament testing and is grouped by size to facilitate safer and less stressful socialization. Additional features include allergen-sensitive care and personalized attention, catering to the evolving needs of pet owners who increasingly view their pets as integral family members.

Founders' Vision

Animeha Singh, the founder, commented on the changing landscape of pet care in India, stating: "Pet care in India started with the basics: food, grooming, and vet services, but the way we live with our pets has changed. They are no longer just at home waiting for us; they are part of our routines, our weekends, our travel plans, and, for many families, as close to us as children. That has changed the standard of care pet parents expect."

Future Outlook

With this funding round, Scooby’s Club is set to strengthen its position in the premium petcare market, responding to the increasing demand for high-quality, everyday dog care solutions. The company’s innovative model and planned expansion could reshape how pet care services are delivered in urban India.
