Scaffold Secures $15 Million in Seed Funding
Austin-based Scaffold, a company focused on automating coordination in the residential construction sector, has raised $15 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Navitas Capital and includes notable investors such as D.R. Horton, Pulte Homes, Builders FirstSource, Windsor America, Grid Capital, Home Technology Ventures, Stage2 Capital, and Ivy Zelman.
Scaffold offers a software solution that integrates with existing builder portals, automatically mapping jobs to cost codes and generating work orders, eliminating the need for manual data entry. This system aims to improve efficiency for trade contractors who often juggle multiple platforms in their daily operations.
Leadership and Vision
Co-founded by Ben Johnson, who serves as CEO, and Robert Eanes, CTO, Scaffold is striving to address inefficiencies in the homebuilding industry. "Our platform connects the dots for contractors, allowing them to focus on the work that requires human insight," said Ben Johnson.
Strategic Use of Funds
The $15 million raised will be used to enhance Scaffold’s technology and expand its deployment across more homes and states. The company’s platform is already operational in over 200,000 homes across 30 states, indicating a robust foundation for further growth.
Industry-Wide Impact
The investment by a diverse group of stakeholders from the homebuilding supply chain underscores the broad applicability and potential impact of Scaffold’s technology. By facilitating improved communication and coordination among builders, contractors, and suppliers, Scaffold is well-positioned to streamline processes in the $500 billion homebuilding industry.
Scaffold's solution not only reduces the administrative burden on contractors but also aims to minimize delays and errors, ultimately contributing to more efficient project completions.
