Ringtime Secures €1.8 Million Seed Funding

Ringtime, a recruitment technology platform based in Ghent, Belgium, has successfully raised €1.8 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Volta Ventures, with additional participation from Syndicate One, JK Invest, New School VC, and Allusion. Ringtime is known for its innovative approach to screening frontline candidates through real conversations conducted over phone and WhatsApp, available in over 22 languages and outside regular office hours.

Addressing Recruitment Challenges

The company is addressing significant challenges in the European labor market, where there is a substantial shortage of blue-collar workers. In Belgium alone, there are approximately 163,000 open positions. Many potential candidates face barriers such as lacking traditional resumes or LinkedIn profiles, and sometimes even a shared language with recruiters. Ringtime's platform automates key parts of the recruitment process, such as screening, follow-ups, and scheduling, helping recruiters connect with candidates through their preferred communication channels at optimal times.

Founders and Leadership

Ringtime was co-founded by Diederik Syoen and Vincent Theeten. The founders bring extensive experience and insights from working closely with recruiters, which has informed the development of their product. The platform aims to streamline the recruitment process, reducing the need for manual outbound calls that recruiters often find inefficient.

Strategic Use of Funds

The newly acquired funds will primarily be used to further develop Ringtime's technology and expand its reach. The company aims to modernize the recruitment processes for blue-collar jobs, making it easier and more efficient to fill vacant positions across Europe.

Early Adoption and Future Plans

Early adopters of Ringtime's platform include companies like Forum Jobs, TRIXXO Group, and IFIRMA. These organizations have begun to leverage Ringtime’s technology to enhance their hiring processes. With the new funding, Ringtime plans to continue improving its platform and expanding its user base, aiming to become a pivotal tool in the recruitment industry.
