Protein Pantry Raises Seed Funding

Protein Pantry, a Delhi-based startup known for its high-protein, low-calorie food products, has successfully raised $1.03 million (Rs 9 crore) in a seed funding round. The round was led by Sharrp Ventures and included participation from Peercheque, Consumer Collective by Atrium, Indian Silicon Valley Capital, and several angel investors such as Varun Alagh of Honasa and Rishubh Satiya of Plix.

What Protein Pantry Offers

Co-founded by Disha Bhattacharya and Prashanth Bhushan, Protein Pantry specializes in ready-to-cook food items like soya chaap, tikkis, and cutlets. These products are crafted using real ingredients without the inclusion of refined flour, preservatives, or palm oil. Aimed at health-conscious consumers, the brand focuses on providing a 1:10 protein-to-calorie ratio.

Use of Funds

The newly acquired funds will be directed towards expanding Protein Pantry’s manufacturing capabilities. "We started Protein Pantry to move protein beyond the supplements aisle and into everyday Indian meals," said co-founder Disha Bhattacharya. The company plans to scale its manufacturing unit and enhance its supply chain to introduce more ready-to-cook options and expand into additional cities.
