Pro Padel League Raises $15 Million in Series A Funding
The Pro Padel League (PPL), a professional padel league in North America, has successfully raised $15 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Charlotte Hornets Co-Chairman and Governor Rick Schnall. Additional investors included Left Lane Capital, Andrew Schwartzberg, and Jason Tillis.
Expanding the Padel Circuit
The Pro Padel League, headquartered in New York City, is focused on expanding its presence across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The league currently features 10 teams and aims to enhance its infrastructure, develop player talent, and increase its event footprint in North America.

Strategic Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds will be allocated towards expanding team infrastructure, investing in player development, and scaling the league’s events across the continent. The league plans to host five events in the 2026 season, beginning in New York City in July and concluding with the City’s Cup championship in Miami in December.
Growing Popularity of Padel
Padel is experiencing rapid growth globally, with approximately 35 million players in over 110 countries. In the United States alone, projections estimate up to 15 million players and 20,000 courts by 2030. The Pro Padel League is positioning itself as a leading platform for both men's and women's professional padel competition, capitalizing on the sport's increasing popularity.
As part of its development strategy, the league has launched PPL II, a secondary league focused on nurturing future talent. This initiative includes guaranteed compensation and prize money totaling over $350,000.
With this funding, the Pro Padel League is set to elevate its operations and deliver world-class events featuring top padel athletes, solidifying its role in the burgeoning sport.
