Plinto Secures Pre-Seed Funding

Copenhagen-based startup Plinto has successfully raised €2.9 million in a pre-seed funding round. The round was led by People Ventures and Emblem. Plinto specializes in real-time transaction verification, running controls, and taking corrective actions to ensure that businesses' financial books are consistently audit-ready.

Founders and Leadership

Plinto was established in early 2025 by a team of three co-founders: Jakob Nielsen, who serves as the Chief Deployment Officer, Nermina Suljevic, the company's CEO, and Sebastian Rehnby, who takes on the role of Chief Product Officer. "Many of our customers work with low margins, so even small errors can quickly add up," said Nermina Suljevic about the company's mission to help businesses catch and fix errors before they impact the bottom line.

Strategic Use of Funds

The newly acquired funds will be directed towards enhancing Plinto's AI technology platform. This includes efforts to attract more enterprise customers and initiate expansion into international markets. The company aims to automate financial checks that are conventionally performed manually by finance teams, ensuring compliance with contracts, budgets, and internal regulations.

Future Plans

With this injection of capital, Plinto is set to refine its AI-driven solutions further, offering businesses a robust tool to monitor and manage financial transactions effectively. The company plans to leverage its technology to provide a seamless and error-free financial management experience for its users.
