Pixel Photonics, a company based in Münster, Germany, has secured €5 million in a seed funding round. The funding round was led by Futury Capital, with participation from the Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation, Kensho Ventures, and High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF). This investment comes as part of a larger financing effort totaling €13.5 million, which also includes support from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator.

Founded in 2021 as a spin-off from the University of Münster, Pixel Photonics specializes in developing superconducting nanowire single photon detectors (SNSPDs) with waveguide integration.
