PENEMUE Secures Seed Funding to Enhance AI Solutions
PENEMUE, an AI-focused startup based in Freiburg, Germany, has successfully raised €1.7 million in a seed funding round. The company is recognized for its efforts to combat online hate speech, digital violence, and disinformation, aiming to safeguard democratic processes and ensure safer digital communication.

The funding round saw participation from a variety of investors, including TION Health, Beyond Tomorrow, 4seedimpact, zigzag, and Berlin Angel Fund. Additional support came from CGS Consulting and Beteiligungs GmbH, RLM Beteiligungs GmbH, ILG Group, as well as business angel networks such as encourageventures e.V., Black Forest Business Angels, and Business Angels Mitteldeutschland (BAM!) e.V.
Leadership and Vision
PENEMUE was founded in 2023 by Jonas Navid Mehrabanian Al-Nemri, who serves as the CEO, and Sara Egetemeyr, the COO. The duo has been at the forefront of developing AI systems that monitor and manage online interactions. Their platform is designed to detect harmful content in real-time, offering features like hiding, deleting, or automating responses to such content. It also supports legal actions through its app, making it a versatile tool for sectors such as sports, politics, media, and business.
