ParkMundo Raises €2.3 Million in Seed Funding

Eindhoven-based ParkMundo, a travel technology platform, has successfully raised €2.3 million in a Seed funding round. The company, which connects travelers and travel partners with airport parking providers, received financial backing from Rabobank. Founded in 2013, ParkMundo originally operated as an airport parking comparison website under the name Vliegen en Parkeren. It has since evolved into an international platform, facilitating bookings with over 850 providers in 15 countries.

Leadership and Vision

Martijn Meeuws, Co-Founder and COO of ParkMundo, has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth. Meeuws highlighted the company's transition from a local player to a global platform, stating, "We have transformed from a local player into a truly global platform, handling airport parking bookings worldwide."

Strategic Use of Funds

The newly acquired funds will be directed toward scaling ParkMundo’s consumer marketplace and B2B distribution platform. The company aims to enhance its technology infrastructure, improve customer experience, and support further international expansion.

Expanding B2B Integration

ParkMundo’s B2B distribution platform allows airlines, online travel agencies, and other travel brands to integrate airport parking into their booking systems via APIs. This strategic move is expected to streamline the booking process and expand ParkMundo’s reach in the travel industry.
