Paralo Raises £270,000 in Pre-Seed Funding

Paralo, a London-based technology startup, has successfully raised £270,000 in a pre-seed funding round. The company is focused on creating a comprehensive operating system aimed at improving the operations of golf clubs and enhancing the experience for golfers. This funding round, completed on August 20, 2026, was notably oversubscribed.

Company Vision and Leadership

Founded by Jarrad Hicks, who also serves as the CEO, Paralo seeks to replace the fragmented and outdated technology currently used by many golf clubs. Hicks explained the motivation behind their mission: "Golf is an incredibly sophisticated sport sitting on surprisingly fragmented technology. We don’t think golf needs another app. We’re building the infrastructure underneath the club and the product above it."

Use of Funds

The funds raised will be used to advance the development of Paralo's integrated system, which includes features such as a tee sheet, competitions management, live scoring, a member app, wearable connectivity, and finance management, all designed to work seamlessly together. The investment will also support further research and development efforts to enhance the platform's capabilities.

Funding Details

While the funding round did not feature a lead investor, it was primarily supported by a group of angel investors. Approximately £250,000 of the total was raised through the UK's Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS), which offers tax benefits to investors backing early-stage startups.

Looking Ahead

Paralo's innovative approach aims to streamline golf club operations and improve user interaction, setting a new standard for technology in the sport. With this latest injection of capital, the company is well-positioned to expand its offerings and impact the golf industry significantly.
