Pandektes Secures Series A Funding
Danish legal tech startup Pandektes has announced the successful closure of a €13.5 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Alstin Capital, marking a significant step in the company's efforts to enhance and expand its AI-driven legal research platform. Pandektes aims to simplify the process for legal professionals to search, verify, and rely on legal information through its extensive database and advanced search capabilities.
Founders and Vision
Founded in 2023 by Casper Laursen and Søren Brokaer, Pandektes is making strides in legal technology by leveraging artificial intelligence to streamline legal research. Co-Founder and CEO Casper Laursen commented on the company's mission, stating, "Building a serious challenger was always deemed impossible. Today, we can collect and make sense of legal information at a scale that was not feasible before. That fundamentally changes what legal research can be."
Use of Funds
The newly secured funds are earmarked for expanding Pandektes' reach into more European markets and further developing its AI-powered platform. This strategic expansion is aimed at providing more legal professionals across Europe with efficient tools to access and analyze legal data.
Lead Investor's Perspective
Andreas Schenk from Alstin Capital highlighted the unique market opportunity that Pandektes addresses. He noted, "We have rarely seen a market like legal research, where so many end-users would like to switch their core system but historically simply couldn’t. Pandektes is building a modern data infrastructure for the entire European legal landscape that makes exactly that possible."
Pandektes' innovative approach and recent funding will undoubtedly play a crucial role in transforming how legal research is conducted, making it more accessible and efficient for law firms and legal departments across Europe.
