ONYA Raises $1.43 Million in Pre-Series A Funding

Bengaluru-based ONYA, a company specializing in lab-grown diamond jewelry, has successfully raised $1.43 million (Rs 12.5 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round. The funding was led by Divisa Family Office, with participation from existing investor Zeropearl VC.

Company Background

Founded by Himani Yadav and Gaurav Choudhary, ONYA offers a range of jewelry including rings, earrings, and pendants. The company focuses on providing IGI-certified, ethically sourced lab-grown diamonds at accessible price points. Their collection emphasizes design, incorporating elements of Neoclassical architecture and unique settings.

Use of Funds

The newly secured funds will be allocated towards expanding ONYA's retail network, with plans to open new stores in Pune and Hyderabad. Additionally, the company aims to enhance its online presence and develop its personalization capabilities. Investments will also be made in research and development to advance jewelry design and manufacturing processes.

Future Plans

ONYA plans to grow its footprint through a mix of company-owned and franchise stores. With eight flagship stores already established across Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad, the company seeks to further differentiate itself through innovative jewelry design rather than competing solely on price.

Founder Himani Yadav stated that the idea for ONYA emerged from a personal experience, aiming to provide high-quality, design-led jewelry options to consumers.

Investors

The funding round was led by Divisa Family Office, with Zeropearl VC also contributing. Zeropearl VC had previously invested in the company, demonstrating continued confidence in ONYA's growth strategy.
