OnSite Raises $1.3 Million in Seed Funding
OnSite, a Singapore-based startup, has successfully raised $1.3 million in a seed funding round. The company, co-founded by Yong Poh, aims to tackle inefficiencies in the construction and facilities management sectors. OnSite's platform is designed to help teams eliminate administrative waste, prevent information loss, and keep projects on schedule.
Investors and Funding Details
The seed funding round was co-led by Tin Men Capital and Alter Global, with additional participation from Hustle Fund and Gondor Capital. This financial backing underscores investor confidence in OnSite's potential to transform the construction industry in Singapore, which is estimated to be worth up to S$53 billion annually.
Addressing Industry Challenges
Despite its economic significance, the construction sector in Singapore remains one of the least digitized industries. Traditional methods involving messaging apps, phone calls, and paper documentation often lead to information loss, project delays, and payment disputes. OnSite's AI-powered communication platform aims to replace these fragmented methods by integrating messaging, voice notes, and images into a single system. The platform also organizes data by project, location, and timeline, offering a searchable audit trail.
Strategic Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds will be directed towards expanding OnSite's engineering team and accelerating product development. Planned enhancements to the platform include AI-driven assistants, project analysis tools, predictive risk assessments, and integrations with third-party software. These features are intended to streamline construction processes and mitigate risks, ultimately leading to more efficient project management.
Future Prospects
OnSite is currently in beta testing with partners and aims to roll out its platform more broadly in the coming months. With the backing of prominent investors and a clear focus on addressing longstanding industry challenges, OnSite is well-positioned to make significant strides in improving construction efficiency in Singapore.
