Nexedge Capital Raises $20 Million in Series A Funding
Nexedge Capital, a New Delhi-based wealth management firm, has successfully raised $20 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners. Nexedge Capital provides tailored investment solutions, estate planning, and global advisory services for ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs), focusing on building lasting legacies.
Leadership and Vision
Founded by Anirudha Taparia, who also serves as CEO, Nexedge aims to expand its reach and enhance its offerings. Taparia, who previously co-founded 360 ONE Wealth and held senior roles at Citibank and the ICICI Group, stated: "Our maiden raise marks an important milestone in Nexedge's journey." Sabyasachi Chatterjee also plays a pivotal role as CEO in driving the firm's strategic initiatives.
Strategic Use of Funds
The newly secured funds will be used to enhance Nexedge's technology platform and expand its network of senior bankers. The company plans to increase its presence in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, aiming to grow from its current 11-12 locations to approximately 22 by the end of the year. Additionally, Nexedge intends to introduce new business lines, including a dedicated service for non-resident Indians, a Non-Discretionary Portfolio Management Service (NDPMS), and a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) vertical.
Expanding Horizons
Nexedge has already onboarded over 95 senior bankers and expects to add another 50-60 by the end of 2026. The firm manages over $3 billion in assets across about 1,300 clients, with approximately $5 billion in assets under advice. Nexedge primarily serves affluent investors, typically those with at least Rs 10 crore in investable assets.
This funding round positions Nexedge Capital to further solidify its market presence and broaden its service offerings, catering to the growing needs of its UHNI clientele.
