New Space Intelligence, a company that specializes in satellite data pipeline services and remote sensing solutions utilizing AI and machine learning, has successfully closed a Series A funding round, raising ¥430 million. This funding round, announced on April 8, 2026, was led by Partners Fund, with participation from several other investors including YMFG Capital, H.I.S., NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Zenrin Future Partners, JR East Startup, Taiko Holdings, epiST Ventures, 77 Capital, and Mizuho Capital.

The company is known for its innovative approach to converting satellite data into usable formats through its proprietary calibration and integration technology. This technology allows for the comparison and integration of diverse satellite data, which is crucial for applications in infrastructure monitoring, disaster analysis, and land use analysis. The newly acquired funds will be directed towards expanding New Space Intelligence's existing services, developing new applications based on the "Global Land Index (GLI)", and strengthening the company's product development capabilities. While the company plans to continue its operations in Japan, it also aims to extend its services internationally, targeting markets in Asia, North America, and Africa. Participation in JAXA Project

In addition to the funding news, New Space Intelligence has been selected for the JAXA Space Strategy Fund's "Satellite Data Utilization System Implementation Acceleration Project". As part of this project, the company will focus on developing evaluation, calibration, verification, and correction methods for optical sensors, with the project timeline extending to the end of September 2030.
