Natter Raises $23 Million to Enhance AI Conversation Platform

Natter, a New York-based company specializing in gathering and summarizing people-powered insights at scale, has successfully raised $23 million in a funding round led by Renegade Partners. The round also saw participation from investors including Kindred Capital, Costanoa Ventures, Rackhouse Ventures, Village Global, and Asymmetric Capital Partners, along with executives from companies such as Peakon, Beamery, Tessian, and Indeed.

Founded by Charlie Woodward, who serves as CEO, alongside founder associates Alexander Julicher and James Piggot, Natter is on a mission to transform how enterprises capture real-time employee and customer insights. The company’s platform allows organizations to conduct thousands of AI-moderated one-on-one video conversations simultaneously. These interactions are analyzed in real-time, providing insights for business leaders in areas like sales, strategy, HR, and policy.

Replacing Traditional Methods

Natter positions its technology as a more efficient alternative to traditional research methods like surveys and focus groups. According to the company, AI-driven conversations can yield insights much faster and more comprehensively. "We started Natter with a simple but radical belief: that every person inside an enterprise has something important to say," said CEO Charlie Woodward.

The platform is already being utilized by major enterprises, including Accenture, ServiceNow, Mondelez, PwC, and Philip Morris International. A global study involving HR and people leaders at Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies highlighted the platform's ability to improve psychological safety and reveal previously unknown organizational issues.

Use of Funds

The newly secured funds will be directed towards expanding Natter’s engineering, data, and product teams. The company also plans to accelerate the development of its platform capabilities. Additionally, Natter is strengthening its leadership team with strategic hires from Typeform and Remarkable AI.

Future Prospects

With 80% of its revenue now originating from the United States, Natter has relocated its headquarters to New York City to better serve its growing client base. The company has demonstrated strong growth momentum, expanding significantly in the past two years. This funding round will further enable Natter to scale globally and enhance its mission to capture real-time insights more effectively.

As enterprises continue to seek more dynamic ways to understand their workforces and customers, Natter's innovative approach to conversation intelligence appears to be gaining traction.
