Myca Raises $1.3 Million in Pre-Seed Funding

Agricultural intelligence platform Myca has successfully raised $1.3 million in a pre-seed funding round. The company, known for its AI-driven solutions that streamline crop sales, procurement, and agronomy operations, aims to revolutionize the agribusiness sector with this new capital.

Investors and Leadership

The funding round was led by Kriscore Capital, with additional participation from Eximius Ventures and the Indigram Labs Foundation. Myca's leadership includes Co-Founder and CEO Arnav Pandey and Co-Founder & CRO Seamus Tardif, both of whom have extensive experience in the agritech industry.

Strategic Allocation of Funds

The newly acquired funds are set to bolster Mycaโ€™s product offerings, expand its engineering team, and enhance its presence in key markets. The company plans to widen its geographical footprint across Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and India. This expansion is critical as the company works to integrate its AI agents into more agribusiness operations globally.

Innovative Agribusiness Solutions

Myca's platform is designed to optimize field operations by converting traditional communication methods, such as WhatsApp messages and phone calls, into structured data. This data is then processed by AI agents that automate follow-up tasks typically handled by supervisors. The platform is compatible with existing ERP and CRM systems, providing seamless integration.

Market Focus and Growth Potential

Currently, Myca is active in eight countries, having launched in April in India and Indonesia. The company counts major agribusinesses such as Bayer, Olam Food Ingredients, and ETG-Parrogate among its customers. Tardif highlighted the scalability of their solutions, noting that while some North American teams have around 10 field operators, teams in India can consist of up to 5,000 members.

CEO Arnav Pandey emphasized the focus on agribusiness, stating, "It's a $6 trillion industry. There are so many things to solve right in here." While there is potential for the technology to extend into other sectors, the primary aim remains to address the challenges within agribusiness.

Myca's innovative approach and strategic growth plans position it to make significant strides in the agricultural sector, providing valuable solutions to businesses operating in diverse and complex environments.
