Miros Raises €1.1 Million in Pre-Seed Funding
Miros, a Lausanne-based startup, has successfully raised €1.1 million in a pre-seed funding round. The company, founded by Fabio Zuliani and Neil Chennoufi, offers a service that allows users to book quiet, private workpods across Switzerland. These workpods are available for flexible, hourly use, catering to individuals seeking focused work environments, private calls, or meetings.
Company Background and Vision
Founded in 2023, Miros emerged from the EPFL ecosystem with a vision to transform how people access workspaces in public and semi-public areas. The company has developed a network of connected pods designed to provide privacy, comfort, and calm. Through an integrated hardware and software platform, including a mobile app, users can easily locate, book, and access these pods.
Fabio Zuliani, Founder and CEO, commented on the company's broader aspirations, stating: "We start with pods, but the ambition goes far beyond that. We are looking at how commercial real estate itself can become flexible, modular, and on-demand. The pod is just the first building block."
Use of Funds
The €1.1 million raised will support Miros in expanding its network of workpods throughout Switzerland and potentially beyond. This funding follows the company's recent manufacturing partnership with Ducommun Menuisiers, facilitated by a SyNNergy grant from Innovaud. The pods are designed in collaboration with the Lausanne-based furniture brand Lakabi and are fully manufactured in Switzerland.
Future Prospects
With the growing demand for flexible and mobile work environments, Miros is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend. The company aims to make its workpods a staple across various locations, offering a solution for those in need of adaptable workspace options.
As Miros continues to expand its reach, the startup's innovative approach to workspace accessibility could set a new standard in the commercial real estate sector, paving the way for more modular and on-demand solutions.
