Mironid, a biopharmaceutical company based in Glasgow, Scotland, has successfully raised $46 million in a Series B funding round. This round was led by the Scottish National Investment Bank, with participation from several notable investors including Roche Venture Fund, Epidarex Capital, Sofinnova Partners, BioGeneration Ventures, and the University of Strathclyde.

Founded in 2015, Mironid focuses on developing innovative treatments for rare kidney diseases, inflammatory diseases, and cancer. The company is currently advancing its lead drug candidate aimed at treating Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD), a hereditary disorder affecting over 12 million people globally.

The newly acquired funds will primarily be utilized to further the clinical development of Mironid's key drug candidate for ADPKD.
