Loxa Raises £2.7 Million in Seed Funding
Loxa, a company that enables retailers to seamlessly integrate product protection at the checkout, has successfully closed a £2.7 million seed funding round. The investment, completed on March 13, 2026, was led by the Lazaroo-Hood Group and supported by Angel Investment Network, FundMyPitch, and the Entrepreneur's Collective.
Expansion Plans and Platform Growth
The newly secured funds will be directed towards expanding Loxa's operations into Europe and scaling its retail network. The company aims to increase its partnerships to 150 live partners, broadening its platform to support every insurable product category.
Jamie Hamer, Co-Founder of Loxa, emphasized the significance of the funding by stating, "Closing this round means we can now deliver on our promise at scale, with the right people and resources to execute successfully."
Loxa's Innovative Approach
Since its launch in 2023, Loxa has established itself as a full-stack Managing General Agent (MGA), allowing it to craft insurance schemes tailored specifically to the needs of its retail partners. This capability distinguishes Loxa from competitors that offer only standard insurance solutions.
The company's technology integrates with over 70% of UK ecommerce platforms, including Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, and BigCommerce. This integration capability enables retailers to implement Loxa's product protection services in as little as 48 hours.
Leadership and Expertise
Loxa is co-founded by Tori Hutchinson, who serves as COO, and Jamie Hamer. The company has also recently brought on Erjon Skora as co-founder and managing director. Skora, who joined last year, brings over 16 years of experience in the insurance and financial sectors, having previously worked as MD and head of insurance and product, EMEA at Cover Genius.
Looking Ahead
With the seed funding in place, Loxa is well-positioned to enhance its offerings and expand its footprint across Europe. As the company continues to grow, it aims to make embedded product protection as universal as the checkout process itself, available to every retailer and customer, regardless of location.
