Jusfy Raises $15 Million to Enhance Legal Tech Platform

Jusfy, a company simplifying legal work for Brazilian lawyers with tools like calculators and client management systems, has successfully raised $15 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Quona Capital and included participation from Thomson Reuters Ventures, The LegalTech Fund, Maya Capital, SaaSholic, Spectra, Fluent Ventures, Endeavor, and FJ Labs.

The Drive Behind the Investment

Jusfy aims to streamline the legal processes in Brazil, a country known for its high number of active lawsuits and legal professionals. The company is developing a comprehensive technology platform that integrates various legal workflow components. This platform seeks to replace the currently fragmented systems used by many lawyers, which often involve disparate tools like court portals, spreadsheets, and messaging apps.

Rafael Bagolin, the founder and CEO of Jusfy, leads the charge in leveraging technology to meet the needs of Brazil's 1.5 million licensed lawyers. The platform's core AI product, JusGPT, is designed to assist lawyers directly within their existing workflows, using a proprietary database of approximately 350 million legal records to enhance its understanding of Brazilian law.

Use of Funds

The newly secured funds will primarily be used to enhance Jusfy's AI-native operating system for legal professionals in Brazil. The company plans to expand its reach and improve product offerings, including its embedded financial services product, JusPay. This feature aims to incorporate payment functionalities into the legal platform, with future possibilities of offering financing solutions tailored to the legal sector.

Future Prospects

Jusfy's strategy involves expanding its product capabilities and potentially moving into financial services. By integrating payment and financing options, Jusfy could offer a more comprehensive solution for lawyers and law firms, providing insights into case pipelines and financial outcomes. This could enable the company to develop specialized underwriting models for legal professionals.

With the backing of prominent investors and a robust plan for growth, Jusfy is well-positioned to transform the Brazilian legal landscape, offering innovative solutions to streamline legal practice management.
