Iztri Raises $1.14 Million in Seed Round

Iztri, a Bengaluru-based startup focusing on fabric care, has successfully raised $1.14 million (Rs 10 crore) in a seed funding round. The round was led by All In Capital, with additional participation from Suashish Group and a host of notable angel investors including Anupam Mittal, Kunal Shah, and Tanmay Bhat. Founded by Rohit Ramesh and Ankit Choudhary, Iztri aims to revolutionize the fabric care industry in India by addressing a largely unorganized sector.

Company Background

Iztri is building a hyper-local fabric care network, starting with a focus on clothes ironing. This service is one of the most frequent household chores in India, yet it remains largely unorganized. The startup employs an apartment-hub model that leverages neighborhood infrastructure and a trained workforce, supported by technology-driven backend operations to ensure standardized quality and efficient service delivery.

Strategic Use of Funds

The newly acquired funds will be utilized to accelerate the expansion of Iztri's services and infrastructure. The company plans to deepen its existing hub network and enhance its operational and technology infrastructure to support scalability. Additionally, Iztri intends to diversify beyond its core ironing service into other fabric care categories such as dry cleaning and shoe care. The startup aims to serve over 100,000 customers within the next six months and has set its sights on expanding across southern India before venturing into the top five metro cities in the country.

Investor Support

The seed funding round saw significant interest from a variety of investors, underscoring the potential of Iztri's business model. Apart from lead investor All In Capital, other backers include the Suashish Group, Anupam Mittal, Kunal Shah, Tanmay Bhat, and several others. This diverse investor base brings not only capital but also a wealth of experience and networks that could prove invaluable as Iztri scales its operations.

Future Plans

With this infusion of capital, Iztri is positioned to enhance its service offerings and expand its market reach. The company's focus on leveraging technology and local resources to provide reliable and efficient fabric care solutions aligns well with the needs of urban households in India, who frequently use such services.

Rohit Ramesh, Founder of Iztri, commented on the funding by highlighting the importance of standardizing the fabric care experience in India and the company's commitment to serving a larger customer base with improved services.
