Inocras Secures $31 Million in Series B-3 Funding

Inocras, based in San Diego, California, has successfully raised $31 million in its Series B-3 funding round. The company, known for leveraging whole genome sequencing to transform cancer and rare disease diagnosis and treatment, plans to use this capital to bolster its presence in the U.S. market.

Investors Join Forces

The funding round saw participation from a wide array of investors. Notable contributors included NDS Corporation and Aimed Bio, alongside new entrants such as IMM Investment, Korea Investment & Securities, and LoftyRock Investment. Existing backers like DSC Investment, Dunamu & Partners, and InterVest also increased their stakes in the company.

Strategic Expansion Plans

Inocras intends to utilize the funds to expand its commercial and operational infrastructure within the United States. The company aims to increase the adoption of its precision oncology products, which include CancerVision, a comprehensive tumor-profiling platform, and MRDVision, designed for detecting molecular residual disease.

Advancing Genomic Solutions

The company's focus is on integrating whole-genome sequencing with proprietary bioinformatics and automated interpretation capabilities. This approach is particularly targeted towards precision oncology, helping translate complex genomic data into actionable insights for healthcare professionals.

Leadership and Collaboration

Inocras was co-founded by Youngseok Ju, a genomics expert, and is led by CEO Jehee Suh. The company has collaborated with researchers at the Broad Institute to analyze whole-genome data from The Cancer Genome Atlas, showcasing the potential for standardized genomic analysis on a large scale.

Growing Presence in Asia

Inocras has already established a strong foothold in Asia, with its genomic solutions being adopted by over 100 cancer institutions. It also supports around 30 hospitals in South Korea, providing a substantial foundation for its planned U.S. expansion.
