€20 Million Seed Funding for INLEAP Photonics
INLEAP Photonics, a Hanover-based company specializing in ultra-fast, high-precision laser system technology, has announced the successful closure of a €20 million seed funding round. This round was led by UVC Partners, with additional investment from HTGF, Balnord, Sentris, and Scale Capital. The company focuses on developing laser systems for secure drone defense and industrial processes.

The seed funding round was spearheaded by UVC Partners, a prominent venture capital firm known for its investments in deep-tech companies. Other participants in this round included HTGF, Balnord, Sentris, and Scale Capital, bringing together investors from Germany, Poland, Estonia, and Denmark.
Strategic Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds will be directed towards scaling the production of INLEAP Photonics' laser-based systems, expanding production and testing capabilities, and enhancing sales and service operations across Germany and Europe. Furthermore, the company aims to bolster its quality assurance and certification processes, essential for deployment in both industrial and security-critical environments.

Expanding Drone Defense Solutions
INLEAP Photonics is making significant strides in the counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) market. The company offers two main drone defense systems: the INLEAP FASTLIGHT SHIELD, designed for eye-safe drone defense in military, civilian, and critical infrastructure settings, and the INLEAP FASTLIGHT HELD, which combines a laser effector with an unmanned ground vehicle and C-UAS software platform for mobile defense scenarios. A recent strategic partnership with STARK Defence further supports their expansion in this sector.
A Promising Future
Founded as a spin-off from Laser Zentrum Hannover, INLEAP Photonics is already collaborating with key clients and partners, including the German Federal Ministry of Defence and the Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub. This funding round marks a critical step in advancing their technological capabilities and market reach.
