Infinimmune Secures $75 Million in Series A Funding

Infinimmune, based in Alameda, California, has successfully raised $75 million in a Series A funding round. This round was co-led by Regeneron Ventures and Playground Global, with participation from a diverse group of investors including RA Capital Management, Goldcrest Capital, Forge Life Science Partners, Godfrey Capital, and Wild Tree Ventures. Existing investors such as Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, Everbright Biofund, Civilization Ventures, and Pear VC also contributed.

Focus on Human-Derived Antibody Therapeutics

The company is focused on developing fully human antibody therapeutics, leveraging a unique approach that combines human biology with advanced engineering to identify rare antibodies. This funding will accelerate the clinical development of Infinimmune’s lead programs targeting inflammatory diseases, particularly atopic dermatitis.

Strategic Use of Funds

The newly secured funds will primarily be used to advance Infinimmune's two lead programs for atopic dermatitis, which are expected to enter first-in-human studies in 2027. These include IFX-101, a monoclonal antibody targeting IL-22, and IFX-201, which targets IL-13. Both are being developed as potential best-in-class therapies.

Infinimmune will also continue to develop its Anthrobody discovery platform, which screens millions of individual memory B cells to discover fully human antibodies. This platform is complemented by the company’s GLIMPSE antibody language models, which help in candidate selection and optimization.

Insights from Leadership

Wyatt McDonnell, Co-Founder and CEO of Infinimmune, highlighted the company's mission: "The human immune system makes extraordinary antibodies. We built a company to find them and are uniquely positioned to turn them into transformative medicines for patients with unmet needs."

Collaborative Ventures and Future Prospects

Infinimmune's recent collaboration with Merck, announced in March 2026, further underscores its strategic direction. This partnership involves a multi-target antibody discovery initiative with potential milestone payments totaling approximately $838 million.

As Infinimmune gears up for the next phase of its development, the company remains committed to advancing its pipeline of antibody therapeutics and addressing the unmet needs of patients with inflammatory diseases.
