Huppa Raises €1 Million in Pre-Seed Funding

Huppa, an Amsterdam-based startup, has successfully raised €1 million in a pre-seed funding round. The company offers a comprehensive software platform designed for gyms, CrossFit boxes, and fitness studios to efficiently manage their operations, including member management, scheduling, payments, and communication.

Investors and Leadership

The funding round was led by a group of prominent tech founders from companies such as Sentia, Keylane, TicketSwap, Moneybird, and Revue. Additionally, NL SportTech Ventures, known for supporting sports technology startups in the Netherlands, participated in the round.

Huppa was founded in 2024 by Gino Arendsz and Sharief Mohamed. The duo, who have personal experience in running a kickboxing gym and a CrossFit box, were motivated to create Huppa after encountering frustrations with existing fitness management software. "We wanted a solution that could handle everything from member management to financial reporting in one place," said Arendsz.

Use of Funds

The newly acquired funds will be utilized to further develop Huppa’s platform, enhancing its features and expanding its capabilities. This will likely include improvements in smart scheduling tools and automation, aimed at better serving the diverse needs of fitness businesses.

The Future of Huppa

With this fresh injection of capital, Huppa is set to continue its mission of revolutionizing the way fitness businesses operate. By centralizing critical functions into a single system, Huppa aims to simplify management tasks for gyms and studios, allowing them to focus more on their clients and less on administrative burdens.
