HomeRun Raises $12 Million in Series A+ Funding
Bengaluru-based startup HomeRun, known for its rapid delivery of construction materials, has successfully raised $12 million in a Series A+ funding round. The round was led by Nexus Venture Partners and saw participation from Sorin Investments, Titan Capital, Sparrow Capital, and Consumer Collective by Atrium.
Founded by Pukhraj Grewal, who also serves as the CEO, HomeRun offers a unique service in the construction sector by delivering QR-verified authentic materials such as cement, plywood, and hardware within 60 minutes. This service caters to both contractors and homeowners, providing low prices and no minimum order requirements, which addresses common challenges like unreliable supply and opaque pricing.
Expanding Horizons
The newly acquired funds will be directed towards expanding HomeRun's geographical reach and enhancing its supply chain capabilities. The company also plans to invest in technology and broaden its range of product categories. "Building material procurement in India has remained fragmented and inefficient for far too long," said Grewal. "At HomeRun, we're making it as reliable, transparent, and fast as any modern commerce experience."
Nexus Venture Partners Leads the Charge
Anand Datta, Partner at Nexus Venture Partners, remarked on the investment, highlighting the firm's interest in formalizing supply chains while maintaining the local merchant advantage. "Building materials and local hardware is one such supply chain that has largely skipped digitization," Datta noted, expressing confidence in HomeRun's potential to transform the sector.
Future Plans
With the backing of these investors, HomeRun is poised to cement its position as a leading platform for building materials in India. The company aims to address long-standing inefficiencies in the market and meet increasing customer demand with its reliable and fast service model.
HomeRun's innovative approach to the construction materials market continues to attract attention, and this latest funding round is a significant step towards achieving its ambitious growth objectives.
