Company Background

Founded as a spinout from the National Institute for Fusion Science, Helical Fusion is working on a helical-method fusion power plant. The company aims to achieve practical power generation with its first commercial unit, "Helix KANATA," by the mid-2030s. This initiative is part of their broader "Helix Program," which includes the development of high-temperature superconducting magnets and a blanket-cum-divertor.
