Hang Ten Systems Raises $53 Million in New Funding
Hang Ten Systems, a Palo Alto-based enterprise AI services company, has successfully raised $53 million in its latest funding round. The round was led by Xora, with additional investments from Mayfield and Aramco Ventures. The funds are expected to support the company's efforts in transforming enterprise software development through AI.
Company Overview
Hang Ten Systems specializes in leveraging AI to enhance the value of large-scale software and transformation programs for enterprises. The company aims to deliver tenfold value on projects worth over $10 million by adopting an AI-native enterprise approach.
Leadership and Vision
The company was founded by Vishal Sikka, the former CEO of Infosys, who now serves as Hang Ten's Chief Executive Officer. Sikka has been vocal about the transformative potential of AI in the enterprise sector. "The build part itself has basically become close to zero marginal cost, close to zero time," Sikka noted, highlighting the shift in focus from writing code to defining requirements and validating system performance.
Investor Participation
The investment was primarily led by Xora, Temasek's early-stage investment platform. Other significant investors include Mayfield, which also participated in the company's earlier funding rounds, and Aramco Ventures.
Strategic Use of Funds
While specific plans for the newly acquired funds have not been detailed, the investment will likely be used to enhance Hang Ten's capabilities in advising and modernizing software for large enterprises. The company currently collaborates with a mix of existing clients and potential new partners, spanning 21 major enterprises, with several in the proposal or contract negotiation stages.
Future Prospects
Hang Ten Systems is actively working on multiple seven-figure contracts and is pursuing eight-figure deals. With this fresh capital injection, the company is well-positioned to continue its growth and expand its footprint in the enterprise AI solutions market.
