Glimpact's New Funding Round

Glimpact, a New York-based company specializing in measuring and reducing environmental footprints, has secured €2.6 million in its latest funding round. This round was led by Sparkalis, the investment arm of the Puratos Group, a global leader in bakery, sweet goods, and chocolate ingredients.

Glimpact employs the EU-endorsed PEF/OEF methodology to assist organizations in assessing their environmental impact across 16 categories. This capability supports companies in developing credible ESG and eco-design strategies, including strategies for Scope 3 reduction.

Strategic Partnership with Sparkalis

Sparkalis, known for its focus on transformative technologies in the food industry, has integrated Glimpact’s technology into its operations as part of its impact reduction strategy. This partnership is not only financial but also strategic, aiming to foster a sustainable industrial revolution.

The collaboration comes at a crucial time, aligning with the European Union's Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), which sets a framework for assessing the environmental impact of products. This regulation encourages manufacturers to adopt eco-design practices, making Glimpact's solutions particularly relevant.

Use of Funds

The €2.6 million raised will enable Glimpact to strengthen its market position and accelerate the deployment of its technological solutions. The funds will also support the company’s efforts to assist clients across Europe and the United States, especially in the agri-food sector, which is both a significant opportunity and a challenge due to its complex value chains and environmental impact.

Sector Challenges and Opportunities

The agri-food industry plays a critical role in the ecological transition, given its direct impact on natural resources. With funding in the ecological transition sector being highly selective, Glimpact's solutions offer unique industrial expertise and a deep understanding of the ongoing transformations in food value chains.

This funding round marks a pivotal moment for Glimpact, as it continues to expand its influence and support organizations in reducing their environmental footprints effectively.
