Evvy Raises $40 Million in Series B Funding
Evvy, a New York-based healthcare startup, has successfully raised $40 million in a Series B funding round. The company is known for its advanced vaginal healthcare solutions, including a state-of-the-art Vaginal Microbiome Test. This test is part of their clinical care platform that addresses conditions like bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, aerobic vaginitis, and fertility issues, and has been trusted by over 100,000 users.
Investors and Leadership
The funding round was led by Catalio Capital Management, a notable name in the investment community. Other participants in this round included the U.S. Fertility Innovation Fund, Rethink Impact, Muse Capital, Alumni Ventures, LabCorp Venture Fund, General Catalyst, and Left Lane Capital.
Evvy was co-founded by Priyanka Jain, who serves as the CEO, alongside Laine Bruzek, the Chief Marketing Officer and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, and Pita Navarro, the Chief Science Officer. Jain highlighted a significant gap in women's healthcare, stating that "women hear 'unexplained' constantly," referring to the lack of precision medicine tailored for female biology.
Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds are set to be used for scaling Evvy's precision diagnostics and care platform. This expansion aims to address the high misdiagnosis rates and recurrence of vaginal symptoms by leveraging biological signals unique to female bodies. The company intends to enhance its platform to provide more accurate and personalized healthcare solutions for women.
